| Meet the People Making Black Stone Special
David Tramontana is Black Stone's CEO. In 1996, he and his partners founded the company to help Southwest Ohio's aging population. Serving as one of the area's most involved advocates for the elderly, David is on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Council for Home Care and is a member of the Montgomery County Council on Aging. | Chris Doggett, RN, is Black Stone's Director of Clinical Services for Home Healthcare. Since 1984, Chris has been a Dayton home care provider, initially as a nurse providing care to the elderly, and then as a teacher and mentor to hundreds of nurses in the area, instructing them how to best serve the elderly in the home environment. Chris' tenure in the home care business is invaluable to Black Stone clients and their families. Chris received her M.S. in Nursing from Wright State University and her B.S. in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. | Vickie Flatter, RN, is Black Stone's Supervisor of Clinical Services for Home Healthcare. With more than 20 years as as a medical professional, Vickie brings to our staff a wide and varied background as a floor nurse, medical staff supervisor, and home care expert. For the past 18 years, Vickie has been delivering home care services in the Dayton area. As one of the pioneers in this industry, Vickie believes that seniors recuperating from illness or surgery thrive best in their home atmosphere and she avidly assists our clients in getting them the care they need to quickly recover. Vickie received her associate's degree in Applied Science in Nursing from Clark State University. | Billie Agnone is the Private Duty Administrator at Black Stone Healthcare, Cincinnati. Since 1996, Billie's compassion has been reflected in her career in home care. | Peggy Schmidt is the Director of Nursing at Black Stone Healthcare/Dayton. She has been exclusively involved with home care since 1988. This passion for keeping seniors safe and happy in the environment of their choice has made Peggy a true advocate for the area's elderly. After working in a hospital and nursing home in the early part of her career, Peggy found her true calling when she joined the Area Council on Aging, where she was a PASSPORT case manager and quality assurance coordinator, helping her clients with services that allowed them to stay in their homes. Peggy holds a B.S. degree in Nursing from The Jewish Hospital of Nursing. | Pam Shields is the Director of Nursing for Blackstone Healthcare/Cincinnati. With 37 years of home care in five different states under her belt, Pam has always preferred home care to hospital nursing because the patient relationship develops so deeply. Pam holds a BSN from the University of Vermont. She began her career in home care with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, and then her spouse’s job took them to Rhode Island, Vermont, and now Ohio and Kentucky, where Pam’s passion for home care drove her to specialize in providing services for senior citizens in their home environment. One of Pam’s primary duties is to make sure clients are happy with Black Stone services. | Michelle Dunigan is the Private Duty Administrator at Black Stone Healthcare, Dayton. With 20 years of experience following her, Michelle originally began her career with MRDD. In 1998, she started with Black Stone in the Homecare field, finally joining the administrative team in 1999.
