Home Care by Black Stone Opens Doors in Western Hills Bringing New Jobs
New Satellite Office Looks to Expand and Improve Service to Western Hamilton County
Cincinnati, OH – May 19, 2011 – Home Care by Black Stone, locally headquartered in Kenwood, cut the ribbon for its newest satellite office in suite 106 of the Professional West Building, located at 3012 Glenmore Ave., in Western Hills on Friday, April 22. The office and expanded staff will serve clients in western Hamilton County; including downtown Cincinnati, Harrison, Delhi, West End, and Walnut Hills. Black Stone staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist clients and their families with the challenges that come with getting older and continuing to live independently.
The official opening ceremony, which coincided with Black Stone’s 15th anniversary, was attended by State Senators Bill Seitz and Eric Kearney, members of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, and Black Stone team members. Attendees gathered to celebrate the opening of the new facility, the new home care jobs it will create, and the positive economic impact they will have on the area. The Western Hills office has added 25 new jobs to the region to date and will continue to recruit more home care professionals as it expands. The jobs range from home care aides to therapists and registered nurses.
“Opening a new location is always a special event for us,” said Home Care by Black Stone CEO David Tramontana. “We are proud to be able to boost the local economy by creating new jobs, and to improve our ability to better serve Western Hamilton County’s elderly and disabled residents. We also look forward to achieving the same high level of success in recruiting local people to work within the community that we have enjoyed at other regional offices.”
Black Stone provides both medical and non-medical help for Southwest Ohio’s elderly and disabled people with the goal of helping them live safely and comfortably in their own homes. The number of people in need of in-home health care grows nationally and locally each year as the aging population faces mounting challenges to their health, mobility, and living situations.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics a million more direct-care workers will be needed by 2016 to meet the growing demand of Baby Boomers as they move into retirement age. The jobs created by this expanding industry are an important part of the private sector job growth that is encouraging economic recovery.
